Responsibilities

  • Drive enterprise-wide and group security initiatives using PDCA cycles to maintain and strengthen security posture.
  • Develop and implement information security policies, standards, and strategies.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate security awareness and training programs for employees and executives.
  • Provide security consultations to business units and coordinate cross-functional governance efforts.
  • Design and oversee security risk assessments, management processes, and incident response activities.
  • Collaborate with key departments to ensure alignment and compliance with security frameworks and regulations.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Japanese and English for liaising with Japanese-speaking stakeholders and HQ.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in information security planning and strategy development.
  • Hands-on experience with ISMS and/or ISO 27001 certification acquisition and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of gap analysis using NIST CSF and/or CIS Controls.
  • Experience in security risk assessment, management, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with information security regulations such as GDPR and Personal Information Protection Act.
  • Proven track record in leading cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in planning and conducting security awareness and training programs.
  • Basic knowledge and operational experience with IT infrastructure (network, cloud, servers).
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Registered Information Security Specialist.
  • Experience developing internal policies and guidelines is an added advantage.
  • 3+ years of system operation and deployment experience is an added advantage.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, influence stakeholders, and build consensus.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and collaborative mindset.
