Manager/ Asst Manager – Development & Maintenance of EUC (Japanese Speaking)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain EUC tools using Microsoft Access and Excel.
  • Build and maintain systems leveraging SSIS, Stored Procedures, PowerShell scripts, SQL Server, and Windows Server.
  • Oversee the full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in a Waterfall environment.
  • Lead and manage a team of 3–4 engineers while contributing to individual tasks.
  • Act as the primary liaison with stakeholders, including the Bank IT Department.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical end users.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in IT development and project management.
  • Prior experience as a Consultant in an established consulting firm.
  • Proficiency in Japanese for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in banking IT departments and projects.
  • Hands-on development experience with any programming language.
  • Strong expertise in databases and server technologies (SSIS, Stored Procedures, PowerShell scripts, SQL Server, Windows Server).
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-IT users.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience managing end-to-end SDLC in a Waterfall approach.
  • Team leadership experience with proactive communication style.
  • Ability to comply with strict banking IT policies and controlled development environments.
