Job Summary:
Senior market intelligence role providing LNG market insights and pricing guidance to support trading decisions across regional markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth LNG market research to inform market direction, pricing strategies, and trading decisions.
  • Develop and maintain core market intelligence outputs, including daily market wraps, weekly dashboards, and monthly outlooks.
  • Establish a standardized pre-trade memorandum format to support material trading decisions.
  • Support traders by collecting, validating, and analysing market and fundamental data based on business requirements.
  • Prepare analytical spreadsheets, data visualisations, and price projection models to support transaction structuring and economic evaluation.
  • Deliver primarily fundamental analysis with limited reliance on quantitative modelling.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in LNG market analysis or related market intelligence roles.
  • Proven experience with market intelligence or consultancy firms (e.g. energy or commodities research providers) and trading companies; experience in both environments is an added advantage.
  • Strong capability in fundamental market analysis, pricing assessment, and commercial evaluation.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and presentation using spreadsheets and graphical tools.
  • Experience working with Japanese companies is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Japanese or other Asian languages is an added advantage for liaising with Japanese- or Asian-language-speaking clients and stakeholders.
