Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures in line with HQ specifications and local regulatory standards.
  • Ensure product quality, production processes, documentation, and operational environments comply with HQ and regulatory requirements.
  • Review quality standards and production processes periodically and communicate HQ requirements to external partners and internal Production and QC teams.
  • Oversee Workplace Health and Safety matters, ensuring compliance and maintaining safe work procedures.
  • Report workplace accidents and near‑miss incidents promptly to HQ.
  • Manage and maintain the Food Safety Management System and Quality Management System.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on raw material and packaging material procurement.
  • Investigate customer complaints with Production and QC teams and identify root causes.
  • Prepare reports, explanations, and recommendations for corrective and preventive actions for submission to HQ.
  • Collaborate closely with HQ Quality Assurance and Quality Control management teams.
  • Prepare and submit reports on quality‑related activities to HQ.

Requirements

  • Experience in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control functions.
  • Hands-on experience with Food Safety Management Systems and Quality Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, including HQ, local government, and industry standards.
  • Experience in reviewing and improving quality standards and production processes.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to work with HQ, external partners, and internal teams.
  • Experience in handling quality issues, customer complaints, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ability to prepare clear reports and structured explanations for HQ.
  • Experience in supplier negotiation for raw materials and packaging materials.
