Assistant BD Manager [Construction | Interior Design]

Job Summary:
Support business development activities by engaging clients, managing pipelines, and coordinating internal teams to drive early-stage opportunity growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Support outreach efforts to commercial designers, corporate clients, developers, and business partners.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Identify new market segments, industries, and potential growth opportunities.
  • Participate in networking events, showroom visits, and relevant industry activities.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to support business development strategies.
  • Assist in qualifying opportunities before progressing to active sales stages.
  • Prepare concept decks, proposals, and presentation materials.
  • Coordinate internally to assess opportunity feasibility, scope, and alignment.
  • Track business development pipelines, leads, and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of business development activities and engagement history.
  • Collaborate with design, project management, and operations teams for opportunity alignment.
  • Work with procurement teams on indicative pricing and feasibility assessments.
  • Support internal approval processes and maintain required documentation.
  • Ensure smooth handover of qualified opportunities to sales or project teams.
  • Represent the company professionally during meetings, presentations, and events.
  • Support showroom tours and client engagement activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between external partners and internal teams to strengthen brand presence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of business development or sales experience in related industries such as office furniture, interior design, or construction.
  • Understanding of basic sales processes is preferred.
  • Independent, adaptable, and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous with strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, resourceful, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Able to communicate professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
