Underwriting Executive (BD Broking)

Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite and maintain high retention in the assigned portfolio, following agreed processes at the designated underwriting authority in order to secure profitable business within the agreed risk appetite of the company
  • Increase the team’s contribution in terms of profitability to the company and department
  • Develop and maintain good relationship with intermediaries
  • Drive pipeline of new businesses and maintain high renewal hit ratio
  • Any other ad hoc duties assigned

Requirements:

  • Preferably CGI qualifications or relevant insurance equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Team player with an ability to build rapport with intermediaries and internal stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technical knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Self-driven, self-starter, quick to adapt to changes in the dynamic general insurance industry
