Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite new A&H business in accordance with the underwriting guidelines and objectives;
  • Liaising, advising and servicing (Including rapport building) intermediaries/insureds on A&H insurance matters;
  • Reviewing renewal policies with claims record;
  • Monitor and review own portfolio to ensure profitable growth in line with company targets;
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior underwritiers and adminstrative assistants;
  • Provide support to Team Lead Underwriter and other underwriters as required;

Requirements:

  • At least 1 years of underwriting experience in A&H insurance
  • Complete MAS-required qualifications to provide advice on insurance matters (i.e. Must have CGI qualification)
  • Good technical knowledge of A&H underwriting factors
  • Good communication skill, tact and patience needed in handling clients for this very competitive class of business
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
