Responsibilities

  • Handle purchase and sales data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare and process billing documents for trade transactions
  • Coordinate with trading staff, customers, and vendors to ensure timely communication
  • Manage performance tracking and reporting for trade operations.
  • Ensure compliance with customs requirements, import/export restrictions, and legal regulations
  • Monitor and track shipments, addressing delays or discrepancies promptly
  • Resolve issues related to shipping, customs clearance, and transportation
  • Analyse trade data to assess operational performance and recommend improvements
  • Generate periodic reports for management review

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in trade, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • Proficiency in Japanese language to liaise with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of international trade laws, regulations, and policies (e.g., Incoterms, Free Trade Agreements)
  • Familiarity with trade documentation, customs clearance processes, and logistics management
  • Certification in Import/Export Operations is an added advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting
