Job Summary:
Drive regional sales growth through strategic distributor management and proactive business development in the industrial automation sector.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales activities with a focus on 70% new business development and 30% account management.
  • Manage and mentor distributors within the assigned region to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through design-in activities and demand creation.
  • Conduct regular customer and distributor visits for business reviews and consultative sales engagements.
  • Prepare quotations and raise special pricing requests to optimise profit margins.
  • Actively prospect new distributors and customers within the region.
  • Analyse sales performance and channel feedback; propose actionable strategies to management.
  • Gather and report competitive intelligence to support strategic planning.
  • Prepare and manage weekly and monthly sales forecasts aligned with the company’s business plan.
  • Share customer feedback with sales management and escalate issues as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in industrial factory automation products, with at least 30–40% hunter sales exposure.
  • Own personal vehicle required to attend site meetings.
  • Proven experience selling electronic components and automation solutions to distributors, system integrators, or machine builders.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor, automotive, and machine builder sectors is an added advantage.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into tailored solutions.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to understand and convey technical information.
  • Competence in analysing sales data and developing corrective actions.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is an added advantage.
