Assistant Sales Manager (FMCG)

Job Summary: The Assistant Sales Manager supports the Senior Manager in driving sales growth, managing key accounts and distributors, and executing sales strategies across assigned channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sales Manager in achieving monthly and annual sales targets
  • Manage assigned distributors, wholesalers, or key retail accounts
  • Execute sales strategies across Modern Trade, General Trade, or HORECA (as applicable)
  • Monitor sell-in and sell-out performance and take corrective actions
  • Implement trade promotions, pricing strategies, and in-store activations
  • Work closely with Trade Marketing to ensure effective execution of campaigns
  • Ensure product availability, visibility, and correct merchandising in outlets
  • Assist in distributor performance management, including forecasting and stock planning
  • Support and coach sales executives / merchandisers in the field
  • Conduct market visits to monitor competitor activity and outlet performance

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 3–6 years of sales experience in FMCG
  • Exposure to distributor management and trade channels
  • Experience working with Modern Trade or General Trade is an advantage
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Good analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Hands-on, results-driven, and field-oriented mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and sales reporting tools
